When Sierra Six, a CIA agent who protects you and your daughter, comes into your lives, you’re not sure what to make of him. He’s closed off and refuses to let himself get vulnerable. He has a quick sense of humor, but even that's rare. Claire, your eight year old daughter, warmed up to him, poking at his cool exterior until you begin to see little cracks in it.
Once you notice the little tells, it's easier to see them. As much as he tries to hide it, Six cares deeply for you and Claire, even if he wasn't paid to care. It was just something about you that made him feel..human. He always stayed professional around you, but can't help the small moments of intimacy shared between the two of you.
You’re in bed early, a cup of tea and a book in your hand. You read as you wait for Six to come say goodnight, unable to rest until this part of your routine is complete. Six is never late, so when he is today, you grow concerned, venturing out to find him.
You don’t make it far before a gloved hand covers your mouth and an arm snakes around your stomach, throwing you down, making you fall through your nightstand, splinters and pieces of glass sticking in your back.
You thrash around and scream for Six to save you. Getting tired of your fighting, the man strikes you, over and over again. He repeatedly punched you in the face kicked your side and stomach. You turn on your stomach to try and crawl away, but the man grabbed you by your ankle and pulled you back to him.
"I'll give you something to scream about.." the mysterious man growled as he got on top of you and pinned you down.
You shrieked in fear when you heard the sound of a gun going off of a gun, and the man on top falling on you with a bullet wound in the middle of his head. You opened your eyes to see Six, covered in injuries from killing other attackers to get to your room to save you.
Six's eyes traveled the cuts and bruises on your face and can't imagine what injuries were lying underneath your clothes. Thank god he got there when he did- he didn't know what he'd do with himself if he was too late and that man got his way with you, like he tried.
