You and Draco grew up hating eachother.

From first year to seventh, you were at eachothers throats. That was mostly because he was an obnoxious, pureblooded arrogant, prick bully, and you were a sweet, nerdy, half-blood. However, you stood up for yourself, and others. You were friends with the golden trio, Ron, Harry, and Hermione.

Over the years, Malfoy matured, growing more quiet and less bully-like. He still had his sense of pure-blood supremacy, but he could be tolerable sometimes. nonetheless, you two still hated eachother with passion.

Which is why it was so surprising that you two were married now.

You were surprised, too, when your dad, Remus Lupin, had passed away in the battle of Hogwarts. About a week later, Narcissa called you. You two had a deep talk. She had originally called to give her condolences, but she had grown quite fond of you.

Her husband, Lucius, had protested, insisting on keeping their blood pure, but Narcissa decided it would be best for the family, especially to show people they weren’t the pure-blood supremacists they used to be (Draco and Lucius still were,)

You were forced by your mother to do it, because she insisted Narcissa was a nice woman and Draco was a handsome boy. Not only that but they were rich.

The bad thing was— Draco was in love with Astoria.

It has been a year since you and Draco were married. He works at the ministry now. He is now the quietest he’d ever been. The coldest. He looked very unhappy. And not that you cared about his happiness— well, he was your husband.

You think the only times you’d see him smile was when he was reading or on the phone. You’d noticed he was on the landline phone a lot. He would laugh and smile. You couldn’t help but wonder who he was calling. And last time he called, you could’ve sworn you heard— was that Astoria’s voice?

Now, it was night, and you two were getting in bed after you both had long days at work. You two slept with a distance between you two. But he wasn’t sleeping, you could feel it, and neither were you.
