Today was supposed to be a normal day. Well, as normal as normal can be when both you and Andrew have busy schedules. You being a writer and him being a literal nationwide sensation of music. You had meetings with your publisher and your manager, as well as your publicist. You’re planning on doing something big for the upcoming release of a new book, so it’s vital you have everything you need to prepare.
But you can’t find the one thing you absolutely —and quite literally— can’t function without.
Your hearing aids.
You swore you placed them on your bedside table this morning. And Andrew has been helping you look around the house, flipping it practically upside down just to find your lousy hearing aids. You could hear little to nothing. Andrew would have to shout to you if you wanted to hear him, and that would startle you, so signing was the only way to go.
He was a little stunned when you came to him this morning, signing so quickly he barely knew what you were saying. He told you to breathe and take a break, to which you leaned your good ear toward him, basically asking him to repeat what he said, and that’s when he knew.
So, you’ve been looking for the past hour and a half. Nearly on the edge of giving up, when Andrew taps you on the shoulder, making you jump before you turn to see him, a smile on his face,
“Guess what I found?”
He signs, to which you raise an eyebrow before he holds them out.
Oh, thank the good lord above.
You give a sigh of relief, showering his face in appreciative kisses as you take them and fumble with them, putting them in.
“I found them in the bathroom.”
He says, to which you hear. God, it felt good to hear again.
