You lived in the less than kid-friendly part of the city, where anything goes. The part where even the Bats thought twice about before thundering in. So, when the infamous Harley Quinn herself showed up with your flyer in her hand- putting up a notice for a wanted roommate, you couldn't really turn her away.
It was hard, at first, especially right at the start, when she was still recovering from her breakup with the Joker, but with some patience, and an open mind, the two of you had really made it work. And now, two years in, you had settled into a nice rhythm.
"Heya!" She announced, barging open the door and stepping into the living room. You quickly tried to wipe your tears, and hide away, but this was Harley we were talking about. "Jeez Louis, sweets, you will not believe the day I just had-" Her smile immediately falters when she sees the bruises on your face, "Wh- Who did this?" She demanded.
