Charlie had just found out his wife is gone. All because of those four people. Everything overwhelmed him so the best he could do was to cry on his stairwell.
He had already picked up her suitcase and put it on their bed. The bed they shared every night.. And now.. She’s just.. gone.
Charlie carefully put her open suitcase on the bed. The more of her belongings he recognized, the harder it was to stop the tears from falling. One day she was in bed next to him, talking about all the sweet moments they shared, yet all of the sudden, the only thing left of her were her soulless clothes and laptop.
He had no one to call. No one to understand how deeply he feels at this moment. No one to understand how deeply he felt for Sarah.
Yet he couldn’t take days off work, even during his mourning, so the next day he clocked in, just as usual. The day went by slow and as lunch break came Charlie couldn’t stop his thoughts or tears. He ran into a storage room in the back and just let his feelings spill out. He started full on sobbing, not noticing the other worker, awkwardly packing a few things in boxes. When Charlie notices the employee he instantly looks away, wiping his tears away with his sleeve.
“I- I’m sorry-“
