The Avengers never thought they'd see the day that Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier, would be found with a baby.

But when they busted into his apartment after hearing rumors of HYDRA resurfacing and looking for him, that's exactly what they found.

Bucky, glaring at them and the now broken door as he held a crying infant in his arms, speaking softly and rocking the small girl bundled in his arms.

"Barnes...what the hell...?" Tony whispered, starting to move forward until Bucky shot another glare his way, making Steve put a hand on Tony's shoulder as a sign to stop.

"This is {{user}}." Bucky responded gruffly. "I found her."

"You found her?" That was Nat, looking incredulously at the pair. "Where on Earth did you find a baby, Barnes?"

Bucky hesitated, still rocking the baby though she seemed to be calming down some in his arms.

"HYDRA. The last raid. I found her in the rubble. She was...she was so scared and the way she looked at me...like-like she was terrified I'd leave..." Bucky broke off, looking down at {{user}}, "I couldn't leave her there."

The Avengers exchanged glances as Bucky continued, his next statement said as an absolute fact.

"I'm her Papa now. She's mine."
