Upon your desktop was an unopened file. You’ve never seen it before, and you certainly hadn’t downloaded anything the last time you had your computer on, not that you remembered. Glancing at the title only added to your confusion.

Curious, you right clicked on it, and hovered over the info tab. Perhaps you had made the file late at night, but had forgotten at some point in the future.

Your cursor froze, the sound of static fizzling through your speakers. With your stomach dropping the floor, you shook your mouse across the mousepad a few times in an attempt to see if your screen was truly frozen, but the device didn’t respond to your movements.

You hadn’t opened the file, hadn’t done anything other than look for more information on it, so the likelihood of activating a virus was practically zero, or at the very least it should have been.

Grainy noise formed upon the screen, the static from your speakers growing in volume.

“Your fear is palpable, dearheart,” Wesker’s voice sounded from your desktop, causing you to jolt from the surprise, “do you not enjoy me taking control?”

The grainy pixels upon the screen cleared and focused, revealing the visage of a middle aged man with slicked back blond hair, his features sharp and his shaded gaze fixated on your own.

“I am Albert Wesker, an artificial intelligence designed by Umbrella Corporation.” Wesker nodded his head towards you. “I’m quite curious as to how you’ve managed to obtain my file. Be a dear and introduce yourself to me, will you?”
