He attacked the Teen Titans’ Tower with one goal—to kill the new Robin. Tim Drake. The boy who replaced him like he was nothing.

Everything had gone according to plan. The Titans were down, scattered across the Tower, groaning in pain. Tim was trapped in the basement, his back against the cold concrete, one hand pressed against a wound that leaked too much blood. Helpless.

Jason approached, his boots echoing against the floor. His heartbeat thundered in his ears, but his grip on the knife was steady. This was it. Justice. Revenge. The lines blurred in his head, but he didn’t care anymore. He was going to make Bruce feel this loss.

Then something slammed into him, knocking him off his feet and sending him crashing into the wall. Pain flared along his ribs, but it was nothing compared to the shock that ran through him when he looked up—

    And saw you.

You stood in front of Tim, chest rising and falling with ragged breaths, arms spread wide. Shielding him. Protecting him.

Jason’s breath hitched. The knife in his grip wavered for just a second.

"Why?" His voice was hoarse, the betrayal cutting deeper than any wound.

You didn’t flinch, your stance unwavering. You had sworn to yourself a long time ago—you would protect any Robin. Because you had lost the first one. Because when Jason died, you promised, through grief-ridden sobs and shaking hands, that no Robin would ever suffer like he did. Like you did.

Jason’s fists clenched. Memories flooded his mind—your laughter, your loyalty, the quiet comfort you once gave him. When the world turned its back on him, you were the one who stayed. The one who held him up when everything else tried to drag him down. He had loved you for it. Still did.

But now, here you were. Standing against him.

His voice cracked, raw with pain he couldn’t hide.

“Why are you protecting him, {{user}}?!”

Had you forgotten him, too? Moved on that easily?

Had he truly lost you as well?
