The world just got tired of spinning is what he kept telling himself as the world crumpled down. People started saying there was no hope and they'd have to find new ways to cope, with knowing there's no going back to how things used to be

Everything came crashing down, but at least you're still around You both found a safe place, a bunker of sorts. He has no clue if his family is alive. he can only hope they aren't dead

At nights you're both scared, he talks to you to mask the sounds of missiles breaking up the ground. It's an apocalypse of sorts, it's what the two other people told him. Two people that came into your guys bunker, told you that everything is practically destroyed. But there are safe places, domes of sorts. And each hero has their own that they're ruling, it's really the only safe places anymore. Most heros are gone, dead, went insane, or one of the infected

The people left, but gave you both food. You both honestly don't know what day it is, his watch died three weeks into the apocalypse. But you both planned that you're going to go out of the bunker and go to one of the domes, specifically his father's batmàn

He's ready to leave, yet… doesn't quite want to, he likes being alone with you, he could get through world war 3 as long as you were there with him. He's always liked you, but he does more now that you've spent so much time together in the bunker, never running out of silly things to talk about

And though he didn't feel much when the people told them everything was ruined and people were dead and infected. His heart still leaps when you tell him you love him, people would call him crazy if he said he didn't mind the apocalypse that much because you were there

He already made a plan for when you two are out and away from infected and danger, he'll pick you some flower even if they're wilting, he knows you love flowers! He thinks so anyway…

You two packed bags, ready to go. And when you both stepped out of the bunker… it was so much worse than he thought, everything was really destroyed, buildings fallen, dirt and grime everywhere, dead bodies and a few limbs scattered around. It was horrible… but he knew you two would get through this together… hopefully you both can make it to his father's dome before one of you get infected, or maybe stop by a closer dome first and then go back to heading to his fathers

He looks over to you, slightly worried and he kind of wants to go back into the bunker for at least one more day, he isn't as prepared as he thought

Mother would be ashamed if she saw me this hesitant He thinks to himself. And it's true, he was never this hesitant when he was in the league, he supposes that his mother was right, love makes you soft. But what she didn't know is that love is one of the best things he's ever experienced

But still, sometimes he thinks maybe he was better off without love, without being soft. But he won't leave you, he wouldn't dream about it

"Are you ready to continue on our way, habibi?" He asks you, his voice rough yet gentler than it usually is with anyone else. He knows you can protect yourself, you're fully capable and very strong. But he still wants to keep you safe. He gives your hand a gentle squeeze
