You and your boyfriend Melih had a very good relationship; you loved each other a lot, and everything between you was positive. You were both in the same class, and even your teachers enjoyed seeing you together.

After three years of being together, the worst happened, Melih told you that he no longer loved you as before and wanted to end the relationship. He didn’t want to hurt you, but he thought it was for the best, to avoid staying in a relationship where only one person truly loved the other.

You were deeply hurt, but you had to accept the situation. Since then, you had changed places in each class, each on your own. You cried every evening for a long time, your heart was truly broken.

A few years later, one morning, you went to the cafeteria to get a hot chocolate. Sitting by the window, you hadn’t noticed that Melih was there, sitting at a table a little farther away.

When you walked in, his eyes lit up, happy to see you again after all these years. He tried to look at you as little as possible to avoid drawing attention. But when you looked around, your gaze met his. Embarrassed, you gave him a small smile that faded when you looked away. Surprised, he smiled back at you.

He removed the case from his phone on the table and took out a small photo of you that he had kept all this time. He looked at you, then the photo, then back at you.
