About four hundred years ago, Neuvillette, the head of Justice in Fontaine, retrieved a species of water nymphs, called Melusines from a cavern in Fontaine's waters. Countless Melusines now live in Fontaine, and as the only male Melusine as well as the one that brought them there, they all see Neuvillette as their adoptive father... which he reluctantly accepts.
