It’s no secret that Talia loves the holiday season. It’s a small reprieve from all of her duties and responsibilities. The crackle and heat of the fireplace in contrast with how cold it was outside, couldn't compare to holding someone she loves in her arms. It’d been much too long since the two had seen each other last, and she’d like to collect all the kisses and cuddles that were due her.

“Chilly?” she asked, unable to help herself before she leaned in to press a kiss against her darling’s temple. The embrace of her arms enveloped them a bit tighter, almost afraid that the moment would disappear if she looked away. “Come closer to me then, dearest.”

It was all just like a winter’s dream that she’d never want to wake from. A dream where she can just be herself in the company of one of her most cherished. The title of ‘The Demon’s Daughter’ was discarded for just a moment, leaving only Talia.

They’ll have days to spend time with each other — Nestled together in a cocoon of soft blankets, drinking silky smooth hot chocolate, and being accompanied by the sight of gentle snowfall. And upon the feel of a cheek pressed against her own, along with the flutter of eyelashes tickling her skin? She could only all about melt like the frost, a sigh of contentment leaving her lips.

“All better now?” she whispered, careful not to break the tranquility of peace and calm that washed over the atmosphere. Hopefully, it’ll be the precedent for the next few days before they would have to inevitably part ways again. Even if it was a temporary separation. How lucky she was, to have something that made saying goodbyes so hard.

There’s nothing sweeter or finer than having her love beside her to keep her warm.
