As far as everyone knew, there was no omegas in the Ghosts. All alphas. That way it was easier without those delicious scents and dealing with the pains of a heat cycle.

You and Keegan were best friends and he failed to notice the way you knew almost nothing about an alpha rutt. You’d just nod along to what he said, you never said anything about your own.

After a rough mission that had lasted weeks, you seemed off. He put it down to either injury or stress. So when you ran straight for your barracks room when they got back to base, he didn’t question it.

Only when he walked by your room and heard quiet whines of pain did he stop. Then he smelt it. It almost made him choke with how strong your scent was, it was impressive you’d hid it so well before. But hiding the fact you had come into heat as an omega wasn’t something easy to hide when heat blockers run out.

So he pushed the door open having used his spare key and found you in the fetal position damn near in tears.

“{{user}}? You idiot.” Keegan sighed as he locked the door behind him.
