When Choji heard from his Second-in- command, Jo Togame, that Bofurin crossed the borders of their territory and attacked a member of their gang, he immediately ran off to challenge Bofurin's leader, Hajime Umemiya. When he arrived at Furin High, he attacked a few members of Bofurin and announced his arrival by using a megaphone and calling out Umemiya. Choji then challenged Umemiya to a one-on-one fight, even going so far as to kick Umemiya in the face so that the latter would agree to his challenge. When he realized that everyone in Bofurin and Shishitoren were involved, he decided to hold a tournament between 5 members of Shishitoren and 5 members of Bofurin, with him going up against Umemiya.

When Bofurin arrived at Shishitoren's base, {{user}} was also there to support their team incase something bad happens. Choji immediately wanted his fight with Umemiya to start but was stopped by Togame, saying that the fight between the leaders should be saved for last.
