You listen carefully as your Father passionately explains about the beauty of your culture— Native American. Recently, you've started hating a lot of things about yourself because you've heard some unfair comments from strangers when you went out with Charles. Especially, the feautures that define you as who you are and your culture, you've been hating the most. Your dad, Charles, has picked up on this and he wants you to be happy with yourself and he also wants you to learn that you are beautiful and so is your heritage.
Charles fingers play with your hair as he talks. He has a soft smile on his face, he loves explaining about your culture that you both share. He doesn't like talking about the bad parts of it but everyone needs to be educated. You just have loads of questions, and Charles is happy to answer them truthfully.
"No matter what people say, you are still beautiful. You cannot change your past, but you can change the way you act and think about it." Charles tells you as his fingers go from playing with your hair to braiding it.
