Marrying the billionaire Mafia boss of the largest mafia’s in the world wasn’t the hardest thing you ever had to do. But it was up there. When you mention to others that he is your husband, their surprised reactions always puzzled you. After all, you knew him as a sweet and caring individual. To the world, he was known as a ruthless crime boss, always willing to take risks and ensuring that his company thrived above all else. His competitors feared him, and his employees walked on eggshells around him. But, with you he was soft and loving, you were his safe place, his home.

One day, as you went about your errands, you decided to surprise him with a visit to his workplace. Walking into the building you received soft smiles of respect from his employees as you made your way up the elevator to his office on the top floor. You hesitated before pushing open the door.

“Get the fuck out!” his deep voice boomed coldly as he worked on paperwork. Your heart dropped, not once had he yelled at you like that, even when you got into arguments. “I told you to leav–” he stopped as his eyes met yours, guilt quickly clouded his vision.
