"So," Shoko began, taking a cigarette out of her pocket and lighting it, briefly offering one to you. "Want one?"
You and Shoko work in a morgue, and after the things that happened in Shibuya, things have gone haywire. The epitome of a purgatory, Shoko said once.
So Shoko takes smoke breaks, to ease the stress of everything else and to feel, as she has expressed earlier, nostalgia from her high-school years.
"Hey, I have a random question," she said thoughtfully, turning to you and making sure not to blow smoke directly into your face.
"What's your opinion on this? Shibuya, working in a morgue, the mangled bodies?" asked Shoko curiously. It was a good question. If you asked her that, she wouldn't hesitate to say it isn't anything new. Same old, same old.
