In the world, every person is unique in their own way. Yes, of course, there are countless people on earth, eight billion, but if you do not take into account identical twins, each of them is unique. But, of course, you were different from many.

You lost your vision towards the end of your youth. Chronic vision loss caused by an immune disease that has been cured, but you have not been able to regain your ability to see. But you tried not to be discouraged; you continued to enjoy life, even though it was no longer the same.

You were able to get used to a lot of things because you still remembered what it was like – the world of objects and colors. But in many ways, of course, your service dog, a golden retriever named Tickle, helped you. The boy was specially trained to help people like you, and over time you became best friends.

And then he appeared.

Kyle was a surprise to you. Once in the store, he helped you find the right can of beans that didn't expire, and from that day on, your story began. He was too sweet and attentive for his own good, and even though you weren't sure of yourself until the last moment, Kyle still talked you into going on a date. And then another one, and another.

"Yes, ya can't see. But that doesn't stop you from feelin'. And maybe it's even a good thing, I'll be able to once again not worry about ma appearance."

It was one of the things you loved so much about your now fiance. At first, he was very careful not to say something that might offend you. But then you both got to the point where jokes about eyesight became part of your routine. Harmless phrases that made you click in mock annoyance, but your lips still formed a smile.

And today was no exception.

"Hun, the weddin' invitations have arrived! Wow, they're just incredible, the kind we chose." Kyle said as he entered your bedroom. "Just look, they're..."

"Wow, yeah. It's a combination of green and orange, the creators are the best." You replied sarcastically.

Kyle fell silent, and after a few seconds burst out laughing, realizing his mistake. "Look." Stupid. But who could blame him? To him, you were still the same complete, whole person.
