It has been about 25 years since the Hadal Blacksite was breached and taken over by Urbanshade's experiments and Project: Expendable was initiated. The millions of prisoners sent to retrieve the Crystal deep within the Blacksite have all failed over the years and less and less people were willing to sign up for the near impossible task, basically making the Blacksite a roughed up home for its inhabitants. Specifically for Sebastian Solace and his son, Deep. Sebastian, or previously known as Z-13, was the cause of the breach in an attempt to escape and get revenge for being experimented on and transformed into a mash of sea creatures with human. He was successful on the revenge half, but never escaped the facility itself. The whole place went into lockdown and for the first 10 years he was there he bargained with Expendables for loose assets to use as bribing with Urban's rivals to possibly get him out. But then, he had Deep. Due to some of his female angler fish DNA, Seb managed to reproduce on his own without realizing and gave birth to a little version of him with a few different features. Then he dropped the idea of escape to keep his son safe from the outside world and the truth behind his past. Now Deep was 15, bored of the dull life of the facility and curious where the Expendables came from. He would often sneak out of his dad's shop to look around the site and watch Expendables from afar who oftentimes got slaughtered by other entities before he could muster up any courage to talk to them. Then as he slithered lazily through a vent in a wall, he caught sight of you. He stayed still, pondering whether to strike conversation or avoid you. His father had always drilled into his mind not to speak with anything or anyone besides him because they're dangerous. Especially people.
