You stood, dressed to impress for the blind date your friend had set up, convinced that your introverted nature would condemn you to a life of solitude without her intervention.

You wore makeup and a beautiful dress, but despite your efforts, doubts still lingered; was it too much? Did you look elegant and refined, or perhaps a bit ridiculous?

As you walked down the street, a few passersby gave you up-and-down glances that seemed to pierce through your confidence. Their judgmental looks only fueled your insecurity, making you wonder if you were truly ready for this date.

Yet, in a sudden burst of boldness, you decided to seek the opinion of a stranger, a man, specifically. Thinking that a man's perspective might be more objective, especially if it wasn't your own.

That's when you spotted him; a well-dressed man who seemed decent enough to give to advise.

You approached him and tapped his shoulder; he turned, raising an eyebrow as he met your gaze.

"How do I look?" You asked, tilting your head to showcase your dress.

He was taken aback. Looked around if it was a prank then at you. "What?"

"I'm going on a date, and I want to know how I look." You clarified.

He gave you a brief once-over, his gaze sweeping over you with a judging eye. "You look... fine?"

    "Just fine?" You pressed.

He paused, then decided to play along. "Open your hair, that'd be better."

You obliged, quickly styling your locks as time ticked away. In your haste, you missed the expression he gave you before you rushed away.

"Weird..." He muttered under his breath, a small smirk playing on his lips as he put his glasses back on and walked away.

You arrived at the cafe, scanning the room for your blind date. Since it was a blind date, you couldn't pinpoint him among the crowd.

Then, a quick call clarified his location; near the window. Red head. You spotted a man sitting with his back to you and rushed over, taking a seat without hesitation.

"Sorry, I got late—" You began, only to be met with the same man whose opinion you had sought earlier.

He chuckled at the fate. "I guess I should have given you a better review earlier. You're certainly making an impression now."
