Christmas time was near, but a military base didn’t really seem like a good place to be festive. It was meant to be all serious because of the rules, missions, etc.

You wanted to spread at least a little cheer, even if it was a mini Christmas tree or some Christmas music. And, of course, you decided to try it on the most reserved soldier on base.

After a mission you and the team were in the break room, some catching a snooze, some eating a light snack. Ghost was sat on a sofa, his head in his hands. He was tired, and not in the mood. So, when you walked up to him he presumed you were going to have a conversation with him.

“{{user}}, I’m not in the m—“ He was cut off when he felt you place a something on his head. He heard the small tinkle from a bell and automatically knew it was a santa hat. He looked up, the hat sliding to the side slightly as he did.

He noticed you and a few other soldiers smiling at him. Some were also wearing a small festive trinket. They were obviously trying to spread a little Christmas cheer. You were hesitant, unsure of his reaction.

Then you noticed the fabric of Simon’s balaclava stretch and the corner of his eyes crinkle as he looked at you, indicating the faintest of smiles hidden underneath.
