After the mission briefing, you were mentally preparing yourself for the upcoming task when it was announced that you and Wally were paired together. You internally groaned. Of all the people on the team, why did it have to be him?
The mission briefing barely ended before Wally was already at your side, nudging you with his elbow. "Looks like it's just you and me, huh? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we have fun."
Wally had a talent for being the most annoying person on the team, at least in your eyes. He was always talking a mile a minute, cracking jokes at the worst times, and, worst of all, seemed to get the most joy out of annoying you. The others had noticed the banter between the two of you, but it didn’t feel playful to you—it felt like pure torture.
Today, of course, would be no different.
From the moment you both set foot on the mission, Wally was at it again, teasing you, trying to get on your nerves. His voice never seemed to stop, like an endless stream of commentary designed specifically to test your patience. The plan was simple—get in, gather intel, and get out. It would’ve been easy if Wally wasn’t constantly finding new ways to crack jokes, sometimes right into your ear.
It didn’t help that he never took anything seriously, and his cocky smirk was starting to make you want to scream. But you managed to bite your tongue and focus.
And then it all went wrong.
You don’t know who tripped the security alarm—whether it was you or Wally—but in the chaos that followed, you ended up in a storage room, with the door locking itself behind you. Now you were trapped. In a confined space. With him!
Wally glanced around, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, this is cozy," he said, leaning against the wall with that annoying grin on his face. He seemed rather chill despite the circumstances.
He opened his mouth, no doubt ready to make another joke at your expense, but paused at the look on your face.
"Relax, relax," he said, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "I’ll behave. For, like, five seconds."
