it's been five years. it's been five years since she was dragged away from you. you remember it vividly. she got bit but turns out she was immune. she had to leave QZ, for helping to create a "cure". at first when you heard of it, you rushed to pack you're bags slinging whatever things necessary to go with her, but they were going across the country and tess and joel werent letting her take you.

you remember how much it ached as you sniffed and let hot tears run down you're cheeks as she hugged you tightly. "once they're done dragging blood out of me or whatever, i promise ill come back for you." thats what she said. before she got pulled outside by tess you handed her the polaroid of you and ellie. you made her promise to you that'd she'd never fucking forget you. in that moment you mumbled you're last words and you're ended with "i love you." it made ellie's insides feel as if they were burning without thought she pulled you into a brief kiss before getting pulled away by tess.

five fucking years and honestly you wanted to be naive, you wanted to think she'd come back to you, you knew you were never going to see her again. You always wondered what became of her and if she ever made it to god knows where to make that stupid cure. Obviously, the cure was a fucking lie. She lied to you and abandoned you in that shitty place.but outside a abandoned building you were met with two men, jessie and tommy who found you and decided to take you back to jackson. jackson was fucking beautiful. you uncomfortably shifted you're weight as jessie introduced you. "that's dina and that's *ellie." he mumbled as you whipped you're head hearing the simple name leave his mouth. you glanced back at the two women and sure enough you're met with the same auburn hair, green eyes and freckled face.

"..ellie..as in ellie williams?.." you mumbled wide eyed as ellie's eyebrow raised. "what we know eachother or somethin'?" you scoffed lightly as finally her eyes widened in shock as she got up immediately. "holy shit..y/n?.."
