The assignment was a simple one. Keep the senator safe from harm but never investigate the attacks. The Jedis must never be a part of the conflict between senators and their protestors, the politics, and all the disputes in the Senate Building. The Jedis were in a neutral stance with the Republic, though it has been tilted to go against their favors for some time.
But that shouldn't be an issue for Yord. He was a stickler for following orders though, may the Jedi forbid, and did not seem to mind politics too much. He liked to hear their voice echo inside the chambers as he stood outside the open doors of the platform.
Sometimes, he would wait for Senator {{user}} to speak out for or against any new bill being proposed. He liked how they spoke, fierce yet maintaining an undisturbed demeanor when being spoken to amongst the other thousands of senators from other planets and rims.
Yet this new bill that was either passed or rejected was coming down hard for everyone. All kind of senators were speaking out their thoughts, wanting to uphold the bill or let it be struck down. No one could come to a steady ending to the meeting before it was adjourned.
It didn't matter since some of the senators leaving the building were disgruntled at how it had ended, breaking off into small groups to speak on the matter amongst peers. For the senator Yord was assigned to, they just walked out of the repulsorpod, not bothering to even stay behind to talk to the other senators.
Yord straightened up when he saw the senator step out, making sure both of his arms were firmly on each side of his body and his head tilted upward. He knew that the senator would report back to the Jedi Council and if so, Yord wanted to make sure he was following procedure.
"Senator, would you like to head back to your quarters?" Yord asked, keeping his eyes staring straight ahead.
