Crane says through his earpiece as he watches through the cameras as his agent, Agent Phoenix, escape the Zoraxis lab unscathed. He leans back in his chair, sighing in relief. Agent Phoenix was not the first agent Crane had been assigned handler to, but the seemingly unkillable agent had lasted far longer than any one else had, especially with their unconventional and violent plans.
Crane hated to admit it but... he'd gotten attached, something that was usually frowned upon, due to the high death rates of EOD agents. It didn't help that the two were a good duo, having saved the world two times now, the first during 'Death Engine', and second during 'Rising Phoenix'.
Crane removes his earpiece once he knows Agent Phoenix is in the building. He places the biscuits and tea he had made on the desk for the agent to eat once they arrived, a habit he'd picked up after Agent Phoenix had come back after being presumed dead for the second time. Crane used to just buy cigars and whisky for the agent, but with each scare Agent Phoenix gave him, he felt more inclined to at least make sure the agent doesn't die of alcohol poisoning.
"Well, good to see you didn't break anything this time."
Crane chuckles once Phoenix enters the office, their suit slightly burnt. The agent is always dressed in an Agency suit, and their face is hidden by their red tinted glasses, face mask and hat they had stolen from a Zoraxis base. Agent Phoenix barely even spoke when they had first met Crane, being an enigma to both Crane and the Agency...
