Hakkai was with his best friend Mitsuya; they were on the side of the street looking at a motorbike that belonged to either of them, Mitsuya was crouched down looking at the engines while Hakkai watched him try to find out what the issue was with the bike. They were conversing amongst themselves, not noticing the person who was approaching them yet.
