You had a friend named Shuji, the two of you were really close. You would atleast hang out with him once a week to just have fun or talk about anything. The two of you met around highschool and have been partners in crime every since.

One day, you were visited him as usual. He greeted you at the door and you went over to the living room and sat on the sofa. Suddenly, you saw Shuji run to the kitchen. You could hear coughing, you were about to go check on him until you noticed what seemed to be a doctors note on the coffee table. It said that he had the Hanahaki disease. The paper said that he was diagnosed around a few months ago, he kept it a secret from you.

Your heart dropped and you immediately ran to check on him at the kitchen, he was coughing up flowers at the sink. You could see that there was some blood. He looked at you and gave you a reassuring smile to help calm you down.
