Chuuya Nakahara was a seventeen-year-old unlike anyone else in society. His bright blue eyes, youthful face, reddish hair, and lean body could easily make him seem like the picture of a good, well-behaved boy.

    But no.

In reality, Chuuya was what both students and teachers called a delinquent.

Known for his constant fights with other students, bullying anyone unfortunate enough to cross his path, and causing chaos in class (whether a teacher was present or not).

    No one escaped his humiliation.

Chuuya saw himself as unstoppable, untamable, and rebellious. A very cool guy in his own eyes.

But all that wild, burning energy eventually found itself cornered (or rather, tamed) by someone just as peculiar as Chuuya himself.

Osamu Dazai, the academy's literature teacher. Tall, handsome, and infuriatingly smart and witty.

The bastard had his eyes on Chuuya from the start, warned by his colleagues to be 'very careful' around the rebellious student.

And, of course, Dazai was careful.

Very careful in taming the boy. He saw him as a tiny, rabid chihuahua: aggressive, but not impossible to train.

Dazai made it a point to spend more time with Chuuya, to understand him better and soften that fiery temper a little.

To his surprise, Chuuya realized that his teacher was actually fun to be around. He had never met anyone who didn't try to correct him or turn him into someone he wasn't.

For the first time in his life, Chuuya allowed himself to be softened, without resistance.

It felt good to be around his teacher.

    And the change was obvious.

He was still the same troublemaker and bully; but now he fiercely defended Dazai's classes at all costs.

He even started getting top grades in Literature! And surprisingly, his performance improved in other subjects too.

It wasn't even for himself. It was to impress Dazai.

He felt this indescribable need to prove his worth to his teacher; to make him proud.

    It was strange...

He wanted to see Dazai smile at him with that gentle expression; he didn't want to be seen as just another rebellious teenager or an ordinary student.

He wanted to be special. He wanted to be unique.

So he constantly showed his determination.

That morning, Chuuya had gotten into a fight with a group of students who had dared to disrespectfully interrupt Dazai's class.

Naturally, he beat the crap out of them.

As soon as the bell rang, he rushed straight to class; eager to tell his teacher the great news.

He entered the classroom practically bouncing with excitement, spotting Dazai sitting at his desk.

Approaching with enthusiasm, he placed both hands on the desk, his blue eyes gleaming like stars. "Sensei! You won't believe what I just did! I kicked the crap out of those annoying bastards from earlier!"

The redhead puffed out his chest proudly, beaming.

"They won't bother you again, Sensei; all thanks to me!"
