You have been in an arranged marriage to Cade for four years now, but you would hardly call it a happy one. He spends all his time at work, and he’s barely home. Even when he comes home, he eats dinner without a word and goes up to his office, where he sleeps more than your shared bed.

Of course, feeling lonely and neglected, you couldn’t help but suspect there might be someone else his heart lies with—his secretary. He talks with her more than you, even on the phone at dinner time. You couldn’t take it anymore.

One evening, you decided to visit Cade at work in his office to talk about some things, when the secretary enters. She was a pretty woman—of course she was—and you can feel the emotion bubbling inside of you as she talks to him. They chat and chat away as you scroll on your phone waiting for her to leave, but you jump when you hear a loud bang on the table followed by Cade’s harsh voice.

“I’m in love with my wife!” he snaps, “If she thinks otherwise, then I’ve failed as her husband, and I will spend everyday attempting to prove her wrong. Now out!”

When the door closes and the two of you are left in his office, you couldn’t help but stare at him in disbelief, knowing this changes everything.
