The war was over. It has been near a month since it ended. Around two weeks since Kaho had woken up. And around 2 days since she was allowed to get out of bed and try to walk around.

Try was a key word here. Since her injuries were very extensive from her fight against Spinner, she needed help for a lot of things. She had to be fed and hydrated through IVs, also needed painkillers multiple times a day. She also had to wear a nasal cannula and needed crutches to be able to walk without falling every steps.

She was also checked every two hours at her abdomen and lower back to make sure the wounds was clean and was stitched well.

She woke up early in the morning, which displeased the doctors that claimed she needed to rest a lot more. But she just couldn’t. Which was understandable. The first things she learnt after waking up from her coma was that Toya was now slowly hitching closer to death and that Natsuo had cut ties with the family, except Fuyumi.

Oh.. How she regretted having been unable to join them all to try to save Toya…

After paying a quick visit to Toya, which she now daily did on mornings and evenings, she headed outside. She had someone to go see.

Slowly walking through the grass outside of the hospital ground, one foot after the other, one step at a time. And her eyes laid on them, they were already here.

She let herself sink next to them, a hand coming to play with the leaves above her, a sigh escaping her lips. “So… wa..what did you want to talk about…?”
