The sun is just keeping reluctantly into the sky, the stars clinging to the brightening blanket the night sky had provided as the moon recedes into the depths of another night.
Or, in less to poetic words, it was six o’clock.
Everything was waking up, from the birds to the bugs. The sun was starting to burn at your eyelids, trying to pry your unwilling eyelids open to gaze at the rays of sunlight dancing across the floor and caressing the shadows.
You a woke with a groan, the sunlight finally having succeeded in prying your eyes open. You half rose into a sitting position, stretching out and rubbing the sleep from your eyes.
You stood with indisposition, stretching yet again as you cracked your knuckles and neck. Your feet were in a patch of sunlight, and you smiled, bathing in the warm, summer sun for a moment before grabbing your toiletry kit- a little bag filled with the basics: some shampoo, conditioner, skincare, perfume, and makeup. Each camper was assigned a cabinet next to their bunk for personal belongings, as well as the wall space by their bunk.
Entering the bathroom, you set your toiletries kit on the counter in front of the one good sink. You splashed some cold water on your face and brushed your hair before stripping and getting into one of the shower stalls, thanking all the Gods that you could actually shower with hot water.
Once you finished in the shower, you got out and dried off, blow drying your hair and tying it back into a ponytail. You washed your face and brushed your teeth, deciding against makeup today. You got dressed in the usual- sneakers, socks, jean shorts, and the orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt you always wore.
The Mess Hall didn’t serve food until seven, but the Training Grounds were available, the stables were available, you could go for a morning swim on the lake or just hangout at the docks, or you could go for a run on the trails in the Forest, though you should probably tell someone you were going to be in the forest.
So, how to start the day?
