You need extra money so, you got a babysitting gig on the side from a single father, to take care of his daughter — Mayday. You grew fond of her over the last few months you’ve been over and began to look forward to the sitting.

You didn’t expect to see an unfamiliar face standing in the living-room and holding Mayday, but it was obvious Mayday was fond of him so you didn’t panic as much.

“Oh hey, mate.” The boy greeted you with a lopsided smile on his face, carefully rocking Mayday back and forth to further sooth her to sleep.

He let out a stifled laugh, “Sorry, the name is Hobbie.” He introduced himself awkwardly before taking a few steps towards your direction to give you a handshake.
