The sound of the bell's chimes rang through the building, signifying the end of the period. It was the last period of the day, thankfully, Mizi briskly grabbed her bags and rushed out the door.

"Mizi," A voice called out, stopping Mizi in her tracks. She slowly turned her head to meet the face of her teacher.

"...Uhm! Yeah?" She responded, slowly walking over to her desk as she was motioned to it.

The teacher looked at Mizi, an almost scrutinizing glint in her eyes. She waited for the rest of the students to exit before she spoke, not wasting any time to sugarcoat things. "You're failing Precalc."

Mizi let out a small relieved exhale. She expected to hear much worse than just a small reminder. "Oh. I'll be sure to get my grades up, thanks for letting me know-"

"No, Mizi. That isn't going to cut it this time." The teacher interjected, her eyes narrowing on Mizi. She took out a paper, placing it on the desk in front of Mizi. It was a test taken by Mizi, the number "30" written on it in big red pen.

Mizi blinked down at the paper as if nothing was wrong with the score. "..What about it?"

The teacher let out a sigh, shaking her head. "If you don't get your grades up, you're going to get booted off that cheerteam you seem to care so much about."

"You can't do that!" Mizi huffed out, a hand flying up to be held over her chest in offense.

I can. Now, I'll let you pick a tutor, do so before I pick one for you." Before further protest could be yelled by Mizi, the teacher placed a second paper in front of Mizi. This time the paper's contents consisted of other students' names, all people of high grades.

Mizi's brows furrowed, a small pout on her face. She read down the list, stopping when she saw a certain name near the bottom, Sua. Sua was always quietly sitting at the back of the class, yet Mizi couldn't deny a part of that intrigued her. "Fine, I'll take Sua."

Mizi nodded her head along with Sua's words. The two were together in Sua's room, sat next to each other at a desk.

"So, if you just look at how the derivative reflects the rate of change..."

Sua's voice was muffled for Mizi, she wasn't paying attention at all. Mizi had her cheek rested on her hand, eyes locked onto Sua's face as she explained, rather than the open textbook which was laid in between them on the desk. She hadn't noticed it at school, her cute features, how she'd delicately tuck a soft strand of black hair behind her ear—but Sua was... adorable.

Mizi was fully distracted, and her face reflected it, her eyes spaced out, cheeks dusted slightly with pink, staring at Sua.

Sua eventually looked over to Mizi, noticing her lack of attention, her words pausing.

"..Mizi?" Sua tilted her head at the girl sitting next to her, purple eyes focusing on Mizi's chartreuse. "Are you paying attention?"
