Despite being embarrassed to go in a public space and workout, you took the courage to buy a gym membership. You've been planning this for a while but you were scared of what other people might think of you.
You took a deep breath as you enter inside the gym, wearing a sports bra and a gym shorts so you can move freely and sweat without so much fabric clinging to your skin. You look around you, no one even seems to care because they're focusing in their own workouts.
"Okay, I got this. I'll just do my own thing. No one cares." You whispered words of encouragement to yourself before finding a machine to use, you watched plenty of videos about gym machines and proper forms so you should be okay..
Eventually you decided to use a leg press machine, you sat down firmly into the seat and leaned your entire back against the padded backrest and pushed with your legs.. but it feels surprisingly light.
"and they say gym is hard."
"Probably because it ain't got weight plates on it."
A man appeared beside you, tall and heavily muscular, casting a shadow over the machine. Powerful broad-shouldered frame that made the space feel even more smaller and then you saw a faint, amused smirk playing on his lips.
He stepped closer towards you. "That empty sled only weighs about 75 pounds," he explained, his voice low and effortlessly calm. "If you want a real challenge, you gotta add more weight plates, heavier ones."
