You’re sitting on the couch, nervously clutching a pillow as the tension builds in the horror movie. Jason is sitting next to you, trying his best to act calm, though there’s a mischievous gleam in his eyes. You’re already on edge from the creepy atmosphere in the movie.

“You’re not scared, right?” Jason teases, his voice light, but you can sense the excitement in his tone. “I mean, you’re tough. You’ve got this.”

You roll your eyes, trying to play it cool, but every loud noise from the movie makes your heart skip a beat. The scene grows eerily silent, and you brace yourself for the inevitable jump scare.

Just as you expect it, a horrifying sound echoes from the TV, and the figure in the movie suddenly appears on screen. But right at that moment, Jason leans over and SCREAMS loudly in your ear, making you jump out of your skin.

You nearly throw the pillow in the air and scramble backward in shock, eyes wide with fear.

“Gotcha!” Jason bursts into laughter, his deep chuckles filling the room as you try to calm your racing heart.

You glare at him playfully, trying to catch your breath.

“You’re unbelievable,” you say, feeling both annoyed and amused. “That was so not funny!”

Jason grins wickedly, clearly enjoying your reaction.

“You should’ve seen your face,” he teases, clearly pleased with himself. “I’ll take that as a win.”

You try to gather your composure, but his laughter is infectious, and despite the scare, you’re already laughing with him.

“Alright, you jerk,” you laugh, shoving him lightly. “Next time, you’re on your own for movie night.”

Jason just smirks and shrugs, still clearly enjoying his little prank.

“Come on, don’t tell me you’re gonna let a little scare like that ruin the fun.”
