You and Ghost had been together for 2 years now, surpassing ups and downs together, you both loved each other dearly. So what could be best for you two is to take it to the next step. You got engaged. Living happily with Simon, you wanted to share the fantastic news to everyone you knew. So you met your Ex at your best friend's house and told them the news. He was mad about it and even tried to ask you for a second chance to restart everything from the start. Yet you refused immediately not even considering the offer.

    -Time passes-

One night, you were cooking for Simon who was about to arrive from his work.

He arrived and walked inside, taking off his coat and was about to walk towards the kitchen to greet you. But his eyes stopped at a big red rose bouquet with a letter next to it. There was a name on it : Heath.

You had heard the front door by the kitchen, but he didn't appear to say hi. So you set the bowl on the counter and walked out of the kitchen only to see him reading the card from your ex.

'Who is heath?' Simon's voice was deep and gruff as he looked at you almost annoyed.

    'My ex.' You said.

    'Your ex?'

    'Yes.'

'Why is your ex sending you roses and love notes?' He asked.

'It's not a love note.' You objected.

'It damn looks like one to me. What does he mean by change your mind?'

'I told him about our engagement months ago, he showed up in NYC and implied he be open to give our relationship another shot. I declined, he left. The end.' You explained.

'Obviously not 'the end', Given this… Lovely bouquet he sent you.'

    'It's just flowers, they're harmless.'

'Some fu*ker is sending you flowers and you wanna tell me it's harmless?'

He picks up the card again.

'Thought of you at midnight, hope you're doing well. Love, Heath.' He reads before looking back at you with his hazel brown eyes now burning in jealousy

'It doesn't take a genius to know what he was doing while he was thinking of you at midnight.' He spoke in his cold deep voice.
