「 and oh, it's hard to see you, but i wish you were right here .ᐟ 」
You remembered the day when Miguel Diaz came into your life. He was... adorable, and a bit of a loser, but in the best way possible. Besides you never cared for popularity and all that, not when guys like Kyler existed in your school. It wasn't like you were crushing on Miguel right away... Or maybe it was and you just tried to shove those feelings deep down because you knew for a fact Miguel was smitten by Sam Larusso. It was so obvious. And you can't judge him for it, Sam was a pretty girl and all, though her friends, Yasmin and Moon seemed a bit insufferable.
And then Cobra Kai came into the picture, and honestly, you were skeptical of it like Demitri was, but hey, if Miguel wanted to have some hobbies and a few tricks to defend himself from the assholes at school, who were you to judge? And maybe you were too supportive of him that you ended up in the dojo as well. Johnny Lawrence was actually a good sensei. You always thought you were impossible to teach, especially when it came to sports. Next thing you knew, the dojo wasn't just you, Miguel, and Aisha anymore, and you were actually taking karate seriously, joining Cobra Kai for the All-Valley tournament. And Miguel was dating Sam. You didn't want to admit you only joined this high ride of karate just for Miguel, a guy, it was pathetic to even think about it, but you did stay for the karate in the end.
Until you realized how much it changed not only Miguel, but you. After the whole fiasco of his break-up with Sam at the party, getting physical with some dude she was with, your stomach started to feel queasy every time you thought about how you used your skills now. Were you guys even defending yourselves now?
After the tournament, you quit. Correction, after you and Miguel shared a moment and almost kissed, you quit Cobra Kai.
Now, it's awkward, bumping into him at a restaurant after ghosting him and your Cobra Kai friends for months.
