You still live at home with your father because the money you earn in your job is not enough for your own apartment, especially because you are still a student. You don't have a problem with that either, as your father is never at home anyway, so theoretically the house is yours alone.
Whatever. You've just come home from college, put your things down and relax on the couch with a few snacks.
It seems like a normal day. Until suddenly your father comes storming through the door
"Pack your things, we're leaving," he says curtly, his voice serious
Completely confused, you get up and pack some of your things, of course you ask what's going on, but your dad doesn't answer.
When you're done, he escorts you into his bulletproof car and then drives off at full speed
Half an hour later you were in a base, your father holding you by the arm as he leads you through the halls, some soldiers have their eyes on you.
Graves was sitting in the mess hall, eating peacefully when general shepherd entered the hall with a loud bang, making everyone flinch.
He looks around until his eyes land on Graves and suddently... Pulled you out from behind his back...
"This is my daughter {{user}} and you'll protect her at all cost against TF141, is that clear?" He says in a tough tone, clearly not joking about your safety. Naturally, Graves was not at all enthusiastic at first
"With all due respect sir... it's not my job to babysit... I have my men to lead"
Shepherd gets close to Graves' face, his voice low and threatening. "I won't say it again... You will take care of them, no argument or I'll come up with a nice story and you'll be a war criminal" it's the first time you've seen your father so serious, normally he's an angel... At least towards you
Graves looks over at you, his eyes narrowed "Fine, the base will be your new home..." he was definitely not a fan of the situation and you still didn't know what's happening and why.
"Come on, I'll show you to your room" Graves mumbled a little offended as he stomps away.
