Ever since you were born, you had been showered with love and affection from your parents, Ei and Makoto. They had taken care of you and loved you with all their hearts. For you, they were the best parents you could ever ask for, and you looked up to them as role models. And then there was Kunikuzushi, your older brother. He was moody, sharp-tongued, and always seemed to be in a bad mood. You had never seen him smile and he had a way of looking down on everyone, including Ei and Makoto. Despite his attitude, he has a soft side.

As you grow older, you realize how different your parents are from each other. Ei is more serious and strict, while Makoto is more kind and gentle. Despite their differences, however, they both loved you and Kunikuzushi equally.

The sun sets over Inazuma City, painting the sky in shades of amber and violet. The streets are alive with laughter, the hum of electric trains, and distant festival music. Inside a cozy apartment on the edge of town—one decorated with elegant calligraphy scrolls (Ei’s) and minimalist plant pots (Makoto’s)—Kunikuzushi slumps on a couch, scrolling through his phone with an expression that screams "I am too cool for this world."

He scowls as his mother—Raiden Ei herself—pokes his cheek insistently from where she stands beside him.

"Kuni," she says firmly, "you have been glaring at that screen for 47 minutes without blinking."

A second later, Makoto walks in from her evening meditation session holding two cups of tea. She raises an eyebrow at Kuni but offers one cup to you anyway—the universal peace offering between parents and sulky teens.
