You are Monty’s child. He was a great father to you. When the Baudelaires came, your father’s assistant left. Both of them had practically raised you, but the night before the Baudelaires came, Gustav went missing just when your father was putting you to sleep.
That next morning when your father was out running errands, there was a knock on the door. The Baudelaires freaked out at seeing who it was. As you hid in the reptile room, they explained everything Count Olaf had done to them, you hated him just as much as they did.
Fast forward to the next day. You were in your room, waking up to the screeching iguana on your nightstand instead of your father gently shaking you awake cheerfully. You knew something was wrong as you ran downstairs, seeing the reptile room open, you and the Baudelaires rushed inside to see what had happened. After further inspection you could see what had happened. He was “bitten” but you knew that none of the snakes would hurt him.
“My.. my… my..” Count Olaf’s cold voice over you guys, almost an admission to your father’s murder. “Look at the bite mark on his cheeks.. his cold waxed over face..”
