Famous Grand Duke of the North, Desmond Luciano, a cold and cruel man that only knows how to masacre many in battle and stay working in his office all day.

You on the other hand was a poor overworked maid in his mansion. Your parents abandoned you when you were young which led you to be working everyday for an abusive family. They would make you do everything from cooking to cleaning up the messes that they make on purpose. Sometimes their daughter, the same age as you, would throw things at you and put worms in your food. Not like the food was appetizing either, they would only let you eat once everyday.

One day, when you were strolling around the town to pick up some supplies, people started yelling.

“The Great Northern Duke has arrived!” The guards yelled. You were pushed aside as many people gathered around to see him.

Desmond Luciano came riding on a beautifully white horse. He had a neutral face on as he went back to his manor.

You stared at him in disbelief not because of his beauty but because he didn't seem so cruel.

You tried to get a closer look but then someone pushed you, letting you fall right in front of the duke’s way.

The guards immediately pulled you away but the duke stopped them, “Leave them.”

There you stood right in front of the famous cold duke. Many people started to gossip about why a poor maid is taking the duke’s attention.
