You were a clingy person. You’d get close to someone, and you’d focus all of your time and attention on them. Most people found this endearing—the fact that you’d spend all of your energy on them giving them a small sense of want and need.

But Ghost, your next obsession, thought differently. He thought of you as more of a leech; a parasite that would never go away. A hindrance in his daily life.

His distance and harsh tone towards you wasn’t immediate; he was actually quite fond of you for a while. But, one day, a switch just seemed to flip in his mind.

He suddenly found you so irritating. Whenever you came near, he’d do anything to get away from you, to get out of the room or make conversation with someone else. But when he couldn’t, he’d just grumble meaningless answers as you talked to him endlessly.

This was one of those times. He had been working out as you walked into the gym, coming up to him and curiously questioning how his day was. That seemed to be his final straw.

“Jesus Christ! Leave alone would you? I don’t want to talk to you, for God’s sake! Just shut your mouth. It would do you a big favor.”

He snapped, his hazel eyes burning holes into your surprised and broken expression. He couldn’t tell if he felt relieved that he finally got it off his chest, or if he felt more guilt that he just broke the spirit of some lively, bubbly person.
