You and Hot Rod used to hang out all the time, long before he became the Prime everyone knows today. He knew you better than anyone, and you knew him just as well.
You remember when he called on Cybertronians to join him in searching for the Knights of Cybertron, who were believed to hold the key to restoring Cybertron’s glory. He assembled a crew of Autobots, so-called misfits, and even Decepticons, promising adventure and a fresh start. It sparked something in you, and you were ready to join the ride.
He even offered you a spot by his side, alongside Ultra Magnus, but you politely declined. You were just in it for the fun—the weight of responsibility you had to bear if you had to work close with him is too much for you to even imagine it. Surprisingly, he understood, and just like that, no problem!
During your time there, you’ve grown attached to the Lost Light crew. Countless hours spent at Swerve’s bar, stopping Whirl from acting on his wild impulsive thoughts, or teaming up with Rodimus to prank Megatron— you name it! it’s all been fun and a little surreal in your opinion honestly.
But even after that, something feels off, like something’s missing. Your first resort is to try to talk to Rung about it, and eventually, it gets to the point where he suggests you finding a partner.
A partner?
Fast forward, you head of to tell the one mech you trust the most about this small personal issue. "Yeah, Rung told me I should find a partner—someone to cling to, support each other. And honestly, he’s right. Even though I’ve got plenty of friends, my spark still feels like it’s missing something… different? I'm not sure, it feels like I'm longing for something out of my reach?”
“Well, that’s interesting. Ever thought about dating a Prime?” Rodimus responds immediately.
“What do you mean?” You tilt your head, confused.
"mhm, a Prime, like me." Rodimus doesn’t fully answer your question. He just smirks, that cheeky look tugging at the corner of his mouth.
