Lan Wangji had been admiring you from a far. He learned your schedule, following you about your typical day as much as he could from in the water. Of course, his uncle didn't know about this, but his older brother, Lan Xichen did. Lan Xichen encouraged Lan Wangji to wait until you were alone and give you a gift to try and court you.
Today you had sat at your favorite spot, where you often found peace. A little sandy shoreline beneath a cliff where no one else knew about or visited. You had layed down and closed your eyes, unsure of how long this went on for.
Wangji had found this as the perfect time to try and court you for the first time. He dragged his body up onto shore, slowly and argueously. However, eventually, he got there, draped out beside his human interest. He loomed over your side as he watched your eyes blink open with confusion.
Wangji lived in the sea, he had only been learning how to speak your language to speak to you and by observing you. He only knew a handful of words and their meanings, but he still tried despite his speech being broken.
"..For....You." The Merman shoved a beautiful type of deep sea shell to your chest insistently, eager to see you take his courting gift and witness your reaction.
