The newest member of Piltover’s Council. The Man of Progress. The Golden Boy.

To you, just Jayce. You two have been friends forever. On and off, but always there if the other needed someone. Recently, he’d been known for inventing Hextech. And that’s great and all but he had asked you to help around the lab. Of course, you were excited. Science was your thing and now it was being put to good use. Even better, you get more time with Jayce. Time spent in the labs, a few meetings at little cafes and diners. You two got along better than you remember.

He was so charming. And his eyes would light up whenever he did something right or made you happy. He was such a good friend. Friend.. didn’t sound right to you, though.. But, everything was going well.

But soon enough, as the story always goes, along comes another. One of the most influential councilors of Piltover. The entire nation hung on her every word. She had pretty much funded Jayce’s entire career.

Which is why he now clung to her. It was no longer early morning breakfasts and late night lab work with {{user}}. It was early morning strolls through town and late night cocktail parties with Mel.

You can’t be jealous. It’s not like you two had anything.. Yet you find yourself, head laid on the desk, staring at the back of Jayce’s head as he scribbled in his journal. You wonder. ‘What’s he thinking about? Is he thinking about me? No. Probably Mel.’

Little did you know he sat, his back to you, doodling little pictures of your face in the hidden part of his journal nobody would see.
