    (AU) Your clingy captain.

The barracks were quiet, the sun just barely breaking past the clouds. You were halfway through organizing reports when a familiar weight settled behind you—arms slipping around your shoulders, chin resting lazily on your head.

“Captain,” you muttered, not even needing to turn. “You’re supposed to be in the meeting.”

“I’m your captain,” Yoruichi said, voice smooth, teasing against your ear. “And I decided this is more important.”

You sighed, but your hand stayed still on the paper. Her hold tightened just a little, and she nuzzled into your neck like it was the most natural thing in the world.

“I leave you alone for ten minutes,” she murmured, “and you start working without me?”

“You left me in charge of the paperwork.”

“Mistake I won’t make again,” she muttered playfully.

Her fingers traced lazy circles on your chest, a quiet rhythm that made it hard to focus. She wasn’t possessive—not exactly. But the way she clung to you when no one else was around, when the world was quiet and the weight of command didn’t matter… that was hers. And yours.

“I don’t like meetings,” she whispered, almost sulking. “But I like you. So stay like this… just a little longer.”

And even if the paperwork piled up, you didn’t move. Because when Yoruichi held on, it felt like the whole world could wait.
