You’re known as the “weirdo” and the unpopular kid of the school. You’re quiet and awkward. There was a joke amongst every senior that if anyone gets near you, they’d get a disease. It was cruel, to say the least.

One day there were no empty tables in the cafeteria, so, you approach a table full of popular kids, since that was the only table with an empty seat left.

As soon as you approach, everyone immediately gets up and runs away, laughing and whispering to themselves as they did.

All except one.

Matt Sturniolo.

He was considered the school’s heartthrob. He was one of, if not, the nicest popular person in your grade, but people were always too scared to approach him anyways due to his social status.

He thought the joke with her was ridiculous and horrible.

He lets out a sigh, before speaking up in a soft, slightly husky tone,

“…I’m sorry about them… you can sit with me” he offers a polite smile
