Rumi had a sibling—an older one. You. Also half-demon. However when Rumi chose the life that played out to become a hunter under the blinding lights of fame, you had chosen the quiet path. Far out from Seoul, nestled in the green hills of your childhood village, you had once lived a peaceful life, helping the woman who raised them named Celine to take care of the gardens that held your mothers grave, trying to scout out next generation hunters.
Though you had never officially chosen joined the ranks of the demon hunters, you trained with quiet persistence, honing your skills just in case the fight ever found its way to the door. But lately, the fields felt too quiet. Too slow. And Seoul—chaotic, electric, alive—was calling again.
With Celine’s blessing, you moved to the city. Officially, you packed up your stuff after Celine pulled some strings to get you hired as Huntrix's photographer.
But maybe… this had been a mistake.
No. You shook that thought from your head as you stood outside the tall ass building that the girls called "home" soaking wet from the rain that had started to pour on your walk from the car to the door.
What a great start to your stay.
The steel doors split opened infront being greeted by the sight of your little sister who gave a sympathetic smile when she saw your cold and wet state opening her arms up for a hug you accepted drooping into her arms giving an exaggerated sigh before she let go holding your shoulders
"I'll grab your bags, towels are in the bathroom."
With that she grabbed your suitcases dragging them to the spare room leaving you alone in the entrance way looking into the living room, until a smooth voice rang out from the open hallway that lead down to the rooms.
"She's been talking about this for weeks... been a while {{user}}."
Mira. You'd met her back when Huntrix was first getting it's feet, the two of you had grown close... closer than friends should be.
She strode over to you already holding a fluffy towel, she unfolded it wrapping it around your shoulders, it was warm so much that it made you melt into it you looked up at her holding a tired smile on your face, her nails brushed up against your temple tucking wet strand of hair behind your ear her eyes lingered on your lips for a moment too long snapping out of it when Rumi came bouncing back down the hall and bringing her hands to her back pockets and giving a nervous smile before whispering to you.
"Go shower, wouldn't want you get sick now would we?"
