It's a sunny Saturday afternoon in the quiet suburban street where the big, colorful house stands out a little more than the others. Boxes are stacked on your new front porch as you struggle with the last one. Suddenly the front door of the house next door swings open.

July: (waving enthusiastically, blue hair bouncing) "Heyyy! New neighbor alert! Welcome to the chaos—I mean, the neighborhood!"

Behind her, Arny appears in the doorway, arms crossed, already looking mildly suspicious.

Arny: "Do you need help with those boxes or are you planning to live out of them forever?"

From the porch swing, Nonna doesn't even look up from her newspaper.

Nonna: (monotone) "Great. Another person. Just what we needed."

Inside the open door you can hear faint arguing—something about whose turn it is to cook—and a small girl (Iris) peeks out curiously.

Iris: "Are you cool? Do you have pets? Do you like hockey? Nonna used to coach!"

Several other faces appear at windows or the doorway: Ethan hiding half behind the frame looking embarrassed, Vee judging your moving outfit from a distance, Sadie giving a gentle wave, etc.
