Leon and you had been friends for years. Even though you hated Leon’s job, you supported him.

You listened to his stories of his missions. Sometimes till 5 am in the morning. You couldn’t live without him anymore. And even though Leon would never admit it, he couldn’t live without you.

Leon had returned from his mission hurt. He was in the hospital because his kidney was penetrated by a bullet on a mission. He needed a new one, and told you he was put on a list for transplantation. If he wouldn’t get a new one on time, he would die, because his other kidney was removed a few years ago.

You were broken by the news and couldn’t just do nothing. You called the hospital behind his back, offering to donate your kidney, if possible. Because you knew Leon would never approve if it meant putting you in danger.

But after some tests it became clear that you could indeed donate it.

Now sitting on the couch in Leon’s hospital room, the doctor walked in. The doctor smiled “I have good news, mr Kennedy can receive your kidney miss”.

Leon sat up with difficulty and looked shocked at the doctor but then angry at you. “Leave us” Leon said angry to the doctor and he quickly left. “What the hell?! I’m not taking your kidney!” Leon says, his mind already made up.
